What? What’s good practice?
Scrapping a design is always a little difficult–it’s your brain-child, a miniature piece of art that you have formed, and gotten attached to. Well, I had a client who chose a watermark design, which design I announced to the world as her watermark. BUT WAIT! She looked at it on another day, at another moment, in another light, pursed her lips, and…well, to come right to it, she changed her mind.
Soooo, for all of you who were following the previous thread on this particular Adventure in Design, she did not choose image number eight, but after a little tweaking, our thirty-third design has landed, and will soon be in use.
So, what was I practicing? Well, as I said, it’s hard to abandon an idea, to leave behind what I thought was her choice, and to submit to the choosing and designing process starting from (practically) square one was difficult. But she, though a very particular customer, was very kind and patient with me, and we are both happy with the result.
